"MY SPIRIT JOYOUS"
I just returned from teaching at Roman Nose Resort for O.U. and I had a blast. I teach an Elderhostel class called "The Plains Indians World: Living History. Most of my students are from very far away and its such a treat to meet so many from so many places. I didnt think Ild like teaching until I gave it a try and found that its a wonderful way to tell the stories I grew up with. Im always surprised by the respect I receive from those attending my classes and it just reinforces my belief that this world is full of great people. My students range in age from 5 years to "way up there" and after spending a week with these people its always hard to say goodbye. Our days are packed full of activities, projects and lectures and after a week Im ready for the weekend but then I look forward to the next week. Staying busy with something you love to do is a great way to spend your time.
The next two weeks Ill be home getting my yard in order and restocking the gallery with my artwork that has sold while Ive been away. I return to teach a Family Hostel :The Art, History, and Culture of the Five Civilized Tribes in two weeks at Western Hills Guest Ranch. Im already wanting to pack and its two weeks away!
We have had many joys this year as our son Chasin received his Eagle badge three weeks ago, our daughter Sallem and her husband Sheldon announced that they are expecting our first Grandchild Thanksgiving Day. Our second daughter Tiercy became engaged early Spring and we are planning a May 2004 wedding. Some of my artwork will be featured and sold in the Drysdales Catalog this fall. What a year of blessings!
I find it curious how blessings come in multiples sometimes. Just when you think "WOW" this cant be topped another blessing pops up even better than the last. Miss Teena and I are the most fortunate parents in the world to have been given such wonderful children.
My heart is full, my mind is sound, my spirit joyous and I am thankful, truly thankful!
